One of the new Herald Quests in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 requires you to ignite structures, and here’s how you can get this done quickly.

Fortnite received a plethora of new content following the arrival of the 22.30 update patch, including the new Star Wars Skywalker Week event and an unlockable Pickle Rick Back Bling.

There are also new Herald Quests that allow you to unlock some neat cosmetic rewards, and one of them tasks you with igniting structures. We’ll go over how to quickly complete this challenge.

How to ignite structures in Fortnite

You can ignite structures in Fortnite by collecting a Firefly Jar and then throwing them at buildings. These can be collected as floor loot, and you can also find them by interacting with Fireflies around trees, rivers, and campfires.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Collect a Firefly Jar
  2. Head to closeby structures
  3. Throw the Firefly Jars at the structures to ignite them

Alternatively, you can also visit gas stations and damage a gas pump to make it explode. This will start a chain of explosions that will ignite most nearby structures. Gas cans can also be struck to set structures on fire.

However, you’ll need to be careful as setting off explosions may also end up accidentally eliminating you. You can look at all the gas station locations marked on the map below thanks to Fortnite.GG.

You can use whichever method you prefer, and the Quest will be marked as complete as soon as 50 different structures have been set ablaze. You’ll then be awarded the Epitaph Edge harvesting tool for your efforts.
