Destiny 2 has brought back the Palindrome Hand Cannon as part of the Season of the Chosen expansion, and here’s how you can get your hands on this powerful weapon.

There is a plethora of brand new content to sift through in Destiny 2’s latest expansion. The Season of the Chosen has brought a ton of quests, a new season pass, an in-game currency called Cabal Gold, and some cool new weapons.

The developers have also brought back some content from Destiny 1 in the form of the legendary Palindrome Hand Cannon. Luckily, obtaining this weapon is fairly straightforward, so we’ll go over everything you need to know.

Unlocking the Palindrome in Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen

At the moment, the only way to unlock the Palindrome Hand Cannon is to play Nightfall: The Ordeal Strike, but there is a catch. The Strike’s reward is on weekly rotation with the other available weapons this season, so this gun is only available for one week at a time.

The Palindrome doesn’t have the ‘Luck in the Chamber’ perk from Destiny 1 this time around. Instead, you can try out an all-new perk called ‘Bottomless Grief,’ which refills the magazine of your gun when taking down enemies while you’re the last survivor on your team.

You can further improve the hand cannon by combining Bottomless Grief with Rampage, which will make the weapon ideal for game modes like the Trials of Osiris, where you’ll be handsomely rewarded for scoring a high number of eliminations.

Along with the Palindrome, Bungie have also added a couple of other weapons from the first Destiny in the Season of the Chosen update. The Shadow Price Auto Rifle and the Swarm Machine Gun will both be available in Nightfall: The Ordeal’s weekly rotation.

This means that whenever the Palindrome isn’t in the loot pool for that Strike, you have a great opportunity to win one of these other two powerful weapons! Be sure to give it a try each week, and you’ll be able to collect some powerful items.
