Warzone 2 players will have more options when it comes to plating following the introduction of Tempered Plate Carriers in Season 3. Here’s everything you need to know about the new item.

The Warzone 2 Season 3 update finally arrived on April 12, and players are quickly getting accustomed to the new weapons, movement changes, and map changes. In addition to the standard set of changes, Season 3 also delivered plenty of new gameplay features.

One of these new gameplay features debuting in Season 3 is the introduction of Tempered Plate Carriers. In Season 3, Warzone 2 players will now be able to find and utilize the Tempered Plate Carrier, so here’s what you need to know about the new addition.

What is Warzone 2 Tempered Plate Carrier?

The Warzone 2 Tempered Plate Carrier is an item that will improve your plate efficiency by changing your armor to two half-bars instead of three-thirds.

The Tempered Plate Carrier is an upgrade over the standard Armor Plate Carrier, and as such, this new item will change your requirement to reach maximum health from three armor plates to two armor plates.

With the Tempered Plate Carrier equipped, plating up to full health will take less time. Each armor plate in a Tempered Plate Carrier will count for 75 health.

Keep your eyes peeled for Tempered Plate Carriers across Al Mazrah in Season 3.

Where to find Tempered Plate Carrier in Warzone 2

Tempered Plate Carriers in Warzone 2 can be found in Strongholds and loot across Al Mazrah and Ashika Island.

Taking on a Stronghold is a surefire way to secure valuable high-tier loot and the new Tempered Plate Carrier is a part of that loot in Season 3.

Otherwise, players can leave it up to luck and hope to stumble across a valuable Tempered Plate Carrier while looting either of the Warzone 2 maps.

Several other types of Plate Carriers debuted in DMZ with the Season 3 update, but they are exclusive to the extraction mode at the moment. You can find out more by checking out the patch notes for Season 3’s DMZ update.
