The Pokemon Go rotation for 5-Star Raids is putting Tapu Bulu on the spotlight once again, so here’s everything you need to know, including weaknesses and best counters to get the Legendary Pokemon.

In between events, Pokemon Go players have a new chance to catch powerful Pokemon Tapu Bulu. The Alolan Legendary is back in 5-Star Raids for an extended time during the Rising Heroes season to give players an interesting challenge.

Here’s everything there’s to know about Tapu Bulu’s 5-Star Raids, including tips, counters, and shiny availability.

How to get Tapu Bulu in Pokemon Go

The only way to get Tapu Bulu in Pokemon Go is by defeating it in its 5-Star Raid and catching it afterward. This is a great chance for players that weren’t around when Tapu Bulu debuted in the mobile game.

Some Legendary Pokemon return to the game after a while with easier challenges or special events, but this is the only way to get Tapu Bulu at the moment. 5-Star Raid rotation seems to bring back Legendary Pokemon at least once a year for players to complete their Pokedex.

The Tapu Bulu 5-Star Raids are taking place from April 17 to May 2 in Pokemon Go.

Tapu Bulu will headline 5-Star Pokemon Go Raids from April 17 to May 2, 2023.

Can Tapu Bulu be shiny in Pokemon Go?

Shiny Tapu Bulu is available in Pokemon Go. The shiny rate for this Legendary Pokemon is very low, so players might have to participate in many Raids to get one.

All Tapu Bulu weaknesses & best counters

Tapu Bulu is a dual Grass and Fairy-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Steel-type attacks. It’s important to note that Tapu Bulu has a double weakness (x4) against Poison-type moves. On the other hand, its type combination makes it resistant to Electric, Dragon, Fighting, Ground, Water, Grass, and Dark-type moves

It’s recommended to face this 5-Star Raid with at least four high leveled trainers, but it can also be attainable with a group of 7 to 10 lower-level Pokemon Go players with the right counters.

Keep in mind that Tapu Bulu’s moveset can include Fighting, Grass, Bug, and Fairy-type attacks, so avoid bringing any Pokemon that’s weak against those categories, like pure Ice or Steel types.

Considering all possibilities, some of the best counters for this Raid include Gengar, Beedrill, Vileplume, Roserade, Toxicroak, Victreebel, Venusaur, Overqwil, Scolipede, and Salazzle.
