Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost event is here, bringing some spooky new Quests and loot to Bungie’s looter shooter. One of the new additions is Haunted Lost Sectors, which gives a Halloween-themed overhaul to some existing Lost Sectors.

Completing these Haunted Lost Sectors will allow you to complete the ‘Gone but not Forgotten’ Questline and receive some unique Festival of the Lost weapons.

Here’s how to access and complete the Haunted Lost Sectors in Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost 2021 Halloween event.

You can find and access the Haunted Lost Sectors from the Haunted Lost Sector node in the Tower destination map or access the totem next to Eva Levante.

You must begin the ‘Gone but not Forgotten’ Quest and have acquired three Spectral Pages and 100 Candy to enter your first Haunted Sector. Once you arrive, you’ll need to work your way through the area and defeat the boss to earn the rewards.

How to complete Haunted Lost Sectors

Destiny 2 festival of the lost bosses

Each Destiny 2 Haunted Lost Sector works the same way, where you must defeat several mini-bosses and then eventually, a final main boss.

  1. Load into a Haunted Lost Sector
  2. Defeat Vex or Hive until asked to capture a Summoning Circle
  3. Capture a Summoning Circle
  4. Defeat the Headless One that spawns
  5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 as needed
  6. Damage the boss until they become immune
  7. Spawn and defeat another Headless One by capturing a Summoning Circle
  8. Pick up the dropped Pumpkin Charge
  9. Throw the Pumpkin Charge at the immune boss to break their shield
  10. Repeat steps 6-9 until the boss is defeated
  11. Collect your rewards!

For the most part, you’ll need to work around the map capturing Summoning Circles, defeat the Headless One, and repeat. Once you’ve done this enough times, the main boss will appear that you’ll have to take down.

The bosses can activate immunity, and you’ll need to kill even more Headless Ones to deactivate it. When the boss is immune, capture a Summoning Circle, defeat the Headless One, and pick up the Pumpkin Charge they drop.

Throw the Pumpkin Charge at the immune boss, their shield will break, and you’ll be able to damage them again. You may need to do this several times, but this is how to defeat the boss.
