Hogwarts Legacy has plenty of magical sights to see, and it will take players a number of hours to tick off every quest and collectible. Here’s how you can check your playtime in Hogwarts Legacy and see how many hours you’ve invested so far.

After months of hype, Hogwarts Legacy is finally here, giving Potter fans an engrossing story to unravel and a large open world to explore. The game is also packed with side objectives, such as tracking down Daedalian Keys and finding plants for herbology class.

With so much to see and do, players might be wondering how long they’ve spent being swept up in the Wizarding World. Luckily, there’s an easy way to see your playtime.

Here’s how to check how many hours you’ve played in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to see your hours played in Hogwarts Legacy

To check your playtime in Hogwarts Legacy, all you have to do is save the game and you’ll be able to see how long you’ve played in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Check out a step-by-step guide below:

1. Pause the game while playing Hogwarts Legacy.
2. Scroll over to the ‘Settings’ tab.
3. Press ‘Save/Load and Exit.’
4. Select ‘Save Game.’
5. Once the game is saved, your playtime will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the in-game timer only tracks in hours rather than minutes, so you won’t be able to find exactly how much time you’ve invested into Hogwarts Legacy. However, it does offer a good indication of how long you’ve been exploring the iconic school.

In slightly better news, the timer is put on hold whenever you pause the game, so any time spent in these menus won’t be counted. This means you don’t have to worry about an interruption to your session messing up the playtime on your save file, as long as you leave it paused when you’re away from the console or PC.
