In case you’ve accidentally purchased a skin in Fortnite, here’s how you can refund them with the help of refund tokens provided by Epic Games and get your V-Bucks back.

The Fortnite Item Shop is filled with skins and cosmetics that you can purchase with the help of V-Bucks. While most of these skins are original designs, some of them are associated with ongoing collaborations in the game.

There’s always a chance that you end up accidentally purchasing a skin that you don’t like. So, here’s everything you need to know about canceling a Fortnite purchase, as well as everything that can be refunded.

How to Cancel Purchase in Fortnite

All Fortnite players need to do to cancel a purchase is head to the item screen and press the “Cancel Purchase” button within 24 hours of buying the cosmetic — as long as you haven’t equipped it.

If you can’t find the screen again, here’s everything you need to do:

  1. Launch Fortnite and hit the Settings cog icon.
  2. Select the Support and Refunds page.
  3. Click on Return or Cancel a Purchase.
  4. Any purchases that can be canceled will appear on the page.

With the new ‘Hold to Purchase’ button, you’re less likely to accidentally buy something but mistakes can still happen so if you go to equip the new item within 24 hours of buying it, Epic Games will remind you that the purchase can still be canceled. But, “if you equip or use this purchase during gameplay you will lose the ability to Cancel Purchase on this purchase.”

How to refund skin purchases in Fortnite using Refund Tickets

To raise a Refund Ticket in Fortnite, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Launch Fortnite, and head to “Main Menu.”
  2. From there, click on the cog wheel to select “Settings.”
  3. Under “Settings” look for “Support and Refunds.”
  4. When you click on it, you’ll see an option that says “Return or Cancel Purchase.”
  5. All the items eligible for a refund will be shown on this page. Select the item that you want to return and click on the “Use Refund Ticket” option.

In case you don’t cancel your purchase immediately, you can always request a refund for your skins in Fortnite using Refund Tickets through the method mentioned above.

You have three refund tickets, and you’ll get one every 365 days, provided you have less than three tickets.

What item purchases can be canceled in Fortnite?

Any purchase made with V-Bucks can be canceled in Fortnite, including bundles, skins, and individual items.

Epic Games have also listed out the items that aren’t eligible for a refund, both through the “Cancel Purchase” feature or through Refund Tickets. They are as follows:

  • The Level Up Quest Pack
  • Real-money Offers in the Item Shop (Examples: Lava Legends Pack, Frozen Legends Pack, and The Laguna Pack)
  • Cosmetic Bundles
  • Gifted Purchases
  • Battle Pass
  • Battle Pass Tiers
  • Loot Llamas (Save the World)
  • Event and weekly items (Save the World)
