Redfall is an exciting new project from Dishonored developer Arkane Studios, and players are wondering how many hours it will take to see everything the co-op FPS has to offer. Here’s how long it will take to beat Redfall.

Arkane Studios’ Redfall is easily one of 2023’s most anticipated games, as fans can’t wait to drop in to see all of the vampire-slaying action the Dishonored devs have created.

The new FPS puts co-op at the forefront of the experience, so the team has decided to bolster the player count by releasing Redfall on Xbox Game Pass and including full crossplay support between Xbox and PC.

But whether playing alone or with friends, fans are wondering how long it will take to beat Redfall and how many hours they must invest to roll the credits. Here’s everything we know about how long Redfall is.

How many hours to beat Redfall

According to developer Arkane Studios, it will take around 20 hours to beat Redfall if players focus solely on the main story. However, in reality, most players will probably spend longer with the game.

In an interview with Wccftech, Redfall Creative Director, Harvey Smith, explained that the game’s campaign is around 20 hours long if you “race through,” but claimed there is plenty of side content to give players more bang for their buck.

“For lots of people, it’s going to take more than that, especially if you do Safe Houses, Nests, exploring the whole world,” Smith said.

The dev didn’t give any clues on how many more hours the bonus content will add to Redfall’s length for those looking to see and do everything, but it’s safe to assume it will be upwards of the 30-hour mark.

To give another idea of how big Redfall is, Smith revealed that much of the gameplay shown so far is from the first of two large open areas that players will be able to explore, called Redfall Commons.

“It’s a pretty big space, but there’s actually two districts in the game,” he continued. “When you finish the first district, you transition to the second, Burial Point, which is another huge space.”

It’s also worth keeping in mind that there are four different characters to choose from in Redfall, each with their own unique abilities. This means there’s added replayability for those who want to experience the story as each vampire hunter.

All things considered, it appears that Redfall will offer dozens of hours worth of gameplay for players who like to tick off every objective and trophy.
