Aspiring wizards and witches can play Hogwarts Legacy on February 7, 2023, by preordering any of the special editions of the game. This gives players an extra three days to power through the story and level up their character if they’re willing to splash some extra cash on an upgraded copy.

There are three different versions that grant early access to Hogwarts Legacy, and they are:

  • Hogwarts Legacy: Deluxe Edition ($79.99 / £74.99)
  • Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99 / £74.99)
  • Hogwarts Legacy: Collector’s Edition ($299.99 / £279.99)

If you pre-ordered any of these versions digitally from the PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam stores, the application will unlock at midnight on February 7 and you’ll be able to jump straight into the action. Alternatively, those who ordered from a retailer should see their copy of Hogwarts Legacy arrive in the post at some point during the day.

Each different version also comes with a host of other benefits, which you can see in full in our preorder guide.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the base version of Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t offer any early access, even if you preordered it ahead of time. This means owners of the Standard Edition will gain access on the worldwide launch day of February 10.

That’s all there is to it! So, if you want to play Hogwarts Legacy early, there’s still time to secure your preorder, but you’ll need to act fast.
