#HearUsNiantic trends with new petition to stop Pokemon Go Remote Raid Pass nerf
Pokemon Go players are urging Niantic to rethink upcoming Remote Raid Pass changes with a new Change.org petition and the trending #HearUsNiantic hashtag shared by many content creators.
After Niantic announced previously leaked changes and limitations to Remote Raid Passes, players urged the Pokemon Go developers to reconsider. Now, just a few days before the changes come into effect, content creators all over the world brought back a popular hashtag to make their complaints heard.
A single Remote Raid Pass will cost 195 PokeCoins instead of 100 and players will be able to participate in a maximum of five Remote Raids per day after the changes. In turn, Remote Raid Passes will be part of the Research Breakthrough reward pool that players can claim once a week.

#HearUsNiantic is trending on Twitter as many different Pokemon-related influencers and websites shared an open letter to the Pokemon Go developer. “We want Pokémon GO to succeed, and we want to be able to play this game (the game we love) for years to come,” states the open letter and adds: “Unfortunately, we, as a whole, feel unheard.”
The letter goes on to detail that all players will be affected by the Remote Raid Pass nerf and even suggests a different approach to the whole situation, rewarding in-person interactions instead of punishing remote playing.
Pokemon-related personalities, fansites, and communities have shared the open letter alongside a Change.org petition launched right after the official announcement. With almost 60,000 signatures, it’s on its way to becoming one of the most signed petitions on the platform.
The #HearUsNiantic hashtag was first used in 2021 when Niantic attempted to go back on many of the changes introduced during the Pandemic. While the previous petition had little to no success, it now has the support of many content creators all around the world, including PokeMiners, PokéJungle, PvPoke, FleeceKing, Joe Merrick from Serebii, and many more.
Pokemon Go Remote Raid Pass changes coming April 6
The Remote Raid Pass nerf is the last in a series of changes that aim to make Pokemon Go what it was before the Pandemic. The estimated maximum daily player count dropped in the last couple of months according to websites like Statista. Annual revenue seems to be following the same path, showing that Niantic and players aren’t on the same page.
While many players are waiting until April 6 to abandon the game, others have already done it in the last couple of days. Trainers all over the world are sharing heartfelt goodbyes in the Pokemon Go subreddit after years of playing the mobile game.
While there are many events planned for Pokemon Go in the coming weeks, the future of the mobile game is uncertain.
