GTA The Trilogy: Definitive Edition is set to release in 2021 across consoles and PC, and the minimum and recommended PC requirements have been announced, revealing the game to be more demanding than GTA V.

After months of leaks and rumors, Rockstar Games officially announced the GTA The Trilogy: Definitive Edition.

This remaster of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas will hit consoles and PC on November 11. Alongside this announcement, Rockstar Games revealed the minimum and recommended PC requirements.

Here’s the kind of PC you’ll need to run the GTA Remastered Trilogy, and whether it supports DLSS technology.

The GTA Trilogy’s PC requirements are actually higher than GTA V’s. Of course, GTA V’s PC edition is over six years old, and hardware has significantly advanced in that time. But, it indicates the kind of improvements the game will see.

However, the minimum specs aren’t too taxing, but you’ll still need a reasonably modern rig to achieve a stable and playable frame rate.

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD FX-6300
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Storage Space: 45 GB

Of course, the GTA Trilogies recommended PC requirements are higher than the minimum. Rockstar Games recommends 16 GB of RAM, which is quite the climb from the minimum 8.

And of course, you’ll need a more powerful GPU and CPU to run at the recommended settings, with you needing either a GTX 970 or an RX 570.

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-2700K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage Space: 45 GB

Of course, the PC version will allow you to tinker with graphics settings to find the perfect combination of performance and visuals.

Does GTA The Trilogy have DLSS

Alongside the release date announcement, Rockstar Games also confirmed that GTA The Trilogy will have NVIDIA DLSS on PC. This technology sets the game to a lower resolution but gives the appearance of a higher resolution, increasing performance.

So if you have an RTX GPU, you’ll be able to hit high resolutions without a major performance drop.
