GTA Remastered hype grows as Take-Two confirm three unannounced titles
Although Grand Theft Auto 6 is still at the forefront of the community’s mind, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, has revealed that three unannounced remasters are in development which has further fuelled the GTA Trilogy Remastered rumors.
It’s been confirmed that GTA V will be receiving a current-gen update for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S but there have also been rumors that a GTA Trilogy remaster is in development. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has previously refused to deny these rumors, and company plans strongly hinted at their arrival.
Now, Take-Two has confirmed that three unannounced remasters are in development, and this has only grown the hype surrounding the GTA Trilogy Remaster.
For months, there have been hints, rumors, and leaks that GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas will be receiving a remaster. These were the games to deviate from the top-down view of the classic Grand Theft Auto titles and set the stage for the sensation we know today.

“We don’t just port titles over,” explained Zelnick while discussing GTA V’s remaster. “We actually take the time to do the very best job we can making the title different for the new release, for the new technology that we’re launching it on.”
Take-Two’s company plans revealed that over the next three years, there are plans to release nine titles which are “new iterations of previously released titles.” Now, Take-Two confirmed in an investor presentation in August 2021, that three of these unannounced titles are in development.
This instantly reignited the hype for a GTA Trilogy Remaster, and even for a GTA 4 Remaster. Some fans are also hoping for a remaster of the original Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne games. But for now, there’s no way of knowing if Take-Two would consider a Remastered Trilogy as one title, or three.

There’s still a lot of love for Rockstar’s older titles, and these company plans confirm that exciting times are ahead for GTA and Rockstar fans.
