GTA Online patch fixes remote hacking exploits on PC
GTA Online players have had their game data corrupted by hacker exploits, and Rockstar Games have now pushed out a patch to address this frustrating issue on PC.
After hopping into GTA Online, players just want to enjoy the game’s numerous activities, including Taxi Work and purchasing weapons from the Roaming Gun Van, but hackers have been causing major problems.
Multiple GTA Online accounts had been affected by an exploit that corrupts game data. Rockstar promised to respond to this, and they’ve now released an update patch to fix this problem.
GTA V’s 1.66 update has gone live on PC, and this is meant to fix security-related issues that players are facing, specifically one that allowed third parties to modify users’ experience in GTA Online.
This patch will ensure that hackers are no longer capable of “altering GTA$ balance, RP level, Bad Sport status, and other player stats.” Players will not have to suffer through exploits that crash their games or kick them out.
This GTA Online update also implemented a data protocol that improves “the security of network sessions and player-to-player messaging.” General stability improvements have also arrived in the game.
This news will come as a relief to players that were being plagued by exploits in their GTA Online sessions, and it’s reassuring to know that Rockstar Games take the issue of hackers seriously.
While it’s still possible for GTA Online’s PC users to run into cheaters from time to time, this update solves the problem of hacker exploits ruining the game in invite-only sessions. Hopefully, this issue won’t pop up again in GTA Online.
