There is a ton of speculation regarding the highly-anticipated GTA 6, and a few players may have found a major storyline clue in the latest trailer for GTA Online.

Rockstar Games finally gave the official release date for GTAV’s next-gen console remaster in a new trailer at the PlayStation Showcase 2021. We also got a closer look at GTA Online’s separate multiplayer in the same trailer.

This was disappointing to players who were hoping for an update on the highly-awaited GTA 6. Now, a few fans have claimed that the trailer has a major storyline for the next entry in the popular series.

Reddit user docbicep discussed one small detail about the trailer in the GTA 6 subreddit. They pointed out that there is a car with a yellow license plate containing a possible clue at the 38 seconds timestamp.

The yellow license plate reads: “6ISAL890.” The Redditor stated that this could actually mean “6 is a late 90s,” seemingly confirming the time period in which the next installment is set.

This caused fans to speculate about whether this is an intentional clue left in the trailer by Rockstar Games or simply a coincidence.

One Redditor was certain that this is a proper clue, saying: “It may mean nothing, but don’t think they don’t pay attention to details, I’m sure it means something. They don’t just put random stuff, especially when the license plate stands out like that with the yellow.”

There have been various leaks and rumors suggesting that the game’s map is Vice City in the 80s. However, it’s possible that those leaks might be fake, and the game is actually set in the 90s.

At this point, this is all purely speculation, and we’ll have to wait for Rockstar to announce something official regarding GTA 6. For more GTA, be sure to check out how to get the GTA Online Prize Ride vehicle.
