Grand Theft Auto fans have been awaiting news about GTA 6’s release date, and one Rockstar Games insider claims that the developers are planning to release it in 2024.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games that’s currently in development, with players keeping an eye out for any news regarding the game, from its map size to when the first trailer will arrive.

There has been a ton of speculation regarding the release date of GTA 6, and now a leak from a Rockstar Games insider may have revealed exactly when the new Grand Theft Auto title is set to arrive.

On the GTA Forums website, notable insider Tez2 talked about when players can expect an official GTA 6 announcement from Rockstar Games. They also mentioned a potential release window for the game.

Tez 2 commented: “[The] deadline is holiday 2024. Which has been pushed back multiple times in the past few years. Unfortunately, it could slip into early 2025 as well.” They added that an announcement will arrive this year.

In this comment, Tez2 made it clear that this deadline is always changing, so the exact release window is not set in stone. However, it does line up with the Microsoft report which pointed to a 2024 release for GTA 6.

Tez2 also mentioned that Rockstar could be “cutting more portions of the game” so they can release DLC content for GTA 6. This could be done to avoid any further delays in regard to releasing the game.

Of course, none of this information has been officially verified by Rockstar Games themselves so it’s worth taking it with a grain of salt. We’ll keep checking for any official updates regarding GTA 6.
