EA Sports listened to the feedback from the UFC 5 community regarding the limited roster of fighters and announced a series of changes that will begin in December 2023. Find out all about the latest statement, as well as who the first fighters to arrive in UFC 5 will be.

UFC 5 is in its first week since its official launch on October 27, and since then, the community that has already dedicated many hours to UFC 5 has expressed their approval of EA Sports for some new features, such as the Fight Week game mode. However, not all comments have been positive.

Many UFC 5 players have voiced their complaints that the game has a very small roster of fighters, and EA Sports did not give space to the new UFC fighters. Just a few days after its release, the developers issued a statement to reassure these players and announced some changes in this regard.

EA Sports have listened to community requests and will start adding new fighters to the UFC 5 roster on monthly updates as part of the Fight Week live service program. The addition will begin in December with the arrival of Yan Xiaonan and Amir Albazi.

Check out the list of fighters that will come to UFC 5 in the coming months:

  • December 2023: Yan Xiaonan and Amir Albazi.
  • January 2024: Ian Machado Garry, Mike Malott, and Charles Jourdain.
  • February 2024: Bryce Mitchell, Maycee Barber, and Joe Pyfer.

But these aren’t the only monthly additions that EA Sports has in mind. In addition to the fighters, the developers announced that they will be adding new Alter Ego fighters every month. “This will give you new ways to play with your favorite fighters based on iconic moments in their careers.”

Finally, it’s worth noting that the monthly addition of fighters is not something new in UFC 5, as in previous editions of the franchise, this was one of the main features. During the three years that UFC 4 was in effect, the developers added a huge number of fighters to the game’s roster, with the latest additions coming in mid-August 2023.

This is all that EA Sports announced in the latest statement about UFC 5. We will make sure to keep you updated when the developers reveal details about new updates for UFC 5. In the meantime, you can check out all the best camera settings in the game as well as the artists featured in the UFC 5 soundtrack.
