Honkai Star Rail players have a wide array of characters to unlock, to build the best team possible for different quests and challenges. In the first weeks since the game’s launch, Seele is the featured character in the banner, so many players are trying to get her.

Seele’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

Seele is a five-star Quantum element character in The Hunt Path in Honkai Star Rail, which means she should be your main DPS character.

She has the following abilities in Honkai Star Rail:

• Thwack (Basic attack) – Deals Quantum DMG equal to 50%–130% of Seele’s ATK to a single enemy.
• Sheathed Blade (Skill) – Increases Seele’s SPD by 25% for 2 turns and deals Quantum DMG equal to 110%–275% of Seele’s ATK to a single enemy.
• Butterfly Flurry (Ultimate) – Seele enters the buffed state and deals Quantum DMG equal to 255%–510% of her ATK to a single enemy.
• Resurgence (Talent) – Enters the buffed state upon defeating an enemy with Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, and receives an extra turn. While in the buffed state, the DMG of Seele’s attacks increases by 40%–100% for 1 turn. Enemies defeated in the extra turn provided by “Resurgence” will not trigger another “Resurgence.”
• Phantom Illusion (Technique) – After using her Technique, Seele gains Stealth for 20 seconds. While Stealth is active, Seele cannot be detected by enemies. And when entering battle by attacking enemies, Seele will immediately enter the buffed state.

Seele is a powerful attacker that deals with one enemy at a time, so you should mostly focus on enhancing her ATK%, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG stats. It’s also important to pair Seele with characters that can buff her skills and heal her in case things get tough.

Best Relics for Seele in Honkai Star Rail

Genius of Brilliant Stars

• Two-piece bonus: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
• Four-piece bonus: When the wearer attacks enemies with Quantum Weakness, ignores 25% DEF.

Since increasing Seele’s DMG is your priority in Honkai Star Rail, this relic set will help you make her even more powerful. Moreover, the complete set will make her unstoppable against enemies weak to Quantum attacks.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

• Two-piece bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
• Four-piece bonus: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

As you can see, this alternative set is pretty similar and will also increase Seele’s damage output. While it doesn’t improve her Quantum skills in particular, enhancing her SPD might also work very well in combination with her Talent and Technique.

Keep in mind that you have to play quite a lot to unlock Relics, so you should focus on leveling up characters and finding the best Light Cone for them in the meantime.

Best Planar Ornament for Seele in Honkai Star Rail

Celestial Differentiator is a great Planar Ornament to further improve Seele’s damage output in Honkai Star Rail. It increases Seele’s CRIT DMG by 16%. Furthermore, when the CRIT DMG reaches 120% or higher, after entering battle, Seele’s CRIT Rate increases by 60% until the end of her first attack.

Space Sealing Station is very good for Seele as well. It increases her ATK by 12%, and when her SPD reaches 120 or higher, her ATK increases by another 12%.

The best choice for Seele between these two is entirely up to your playstyle. Some players also choose Inert Salsotto, which increases the CRIT Rate and can make the Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increase by 15%. Keep in mind, though, that Seele’s Resurgence isn’t considered a follow-up attack, so you won’t get that buff.

Best Light Cone for Seele in Honkai Star Rail

In the Night

This is Seele’s signature Light Cone in Honkai Star Rail, so it should be your main option. It increases Seele’s CRIT Rate by 18%, for starters. Also, for every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, the DMG of her Basic ATK and Skill is increased by 6% and the CRIT DMG of her Ultimate is increased by 12%. In the Night’s effect can stack up to 6 times.

Cruising in the Stellar Sea

This Light Cone also increases Seele’s CRIT rate, but in this case, by 8%. Facing enemies with 50% HP or less increases her CRIT rate by an extra 8%. Additionally, when Seele defeats an enemy, her ATK is increased by 20% for 2 turns for devastating results.

Only Silence Remains

Similar to the previous one, the Only Silence Remains Light Cone also focuses on damage and criticals. It increases Seele’s ATK by 16% and, if there are two or fewer enemies on the field, it also increases Seele’s CRIT Rate by 12%.

Return to Darkness

This Light Cone increases Seele’s CRIT Rate by 12%. After a CRIT Hit, there is a 16% fixed chance to dispel 1 buff on the target enemy. This effect can only trigger 1 time per attack.

Best teams for Seele in Honkai Star Rail

As we mentioned, Seele should be your main DPS in Honkai Star Rail, but it’s very important to achieve a balanced team composition if you want her to work best. Having one or two support characters fight alongside Seele is key to success.

That said, Bronya is a great companion for Seele in Honkai Star Rail thanks to her many buffs. She can increase Seele’s damage output while making her participate in battle more often. Natasha is another great ally that can have great synergy with Seele, but you’ll need to level her up for better effects.

Asta is another decent option for Seele’s team. Thanks to her Talent, Asta can boost her allies’ ATK, and her Skill increases her allies’ speed for quick bursts of damage against enemies. Lastly, Tingyun is a very good support character for Seele. Tingyun can increase Seele’s ATK with her skill and regenerate energy with her Ultimate for dealing massive damage fast.
