A few data miners have uncovered evidence of a new Frozen Exotic SMG in the wake of Fortnite’s new v15.30 update. The weapon isn’t currently available in-game despite it being in a completed state.

When Epic Games announced the v15.30 for Fortnite, they revealed some of the new content that would be added to the battle royale, including two new Exotic weapons; the Chug Cannon and the Burst Quad Rocket Launcher.

However, they didn’t acknowledge another weapon that may have made its way into the game. This Exotic gun is called the Frozen SMG, and many players are wondering if it even exists since they’ve not found it yet.

While the weapon might not be available in-game yet, a few data miners have uncovered stats, textures, and other details that imply that it’s ready to go.

Frozen SMG stats and abilities

Reliable Fortnite leakers HYPEX and iFireMonkey were able to uncover the statistics for the new Frozen SMG. The weapon will fire light bullets with a reload speed of 2.1 seconds, a magazine size of 35, and a damage capacity of 20.

Exotic weapons tend to have special abilities, and while we don’t know what the Frozen SMG can do, the name implies some ice-related attacks. The Freeze AR was leaked a few months back, and was reported to inflict a Chiller effect on targets, so this SMG might be similar.

While we have seen enough gameplay to form an opinion on the weapon, we can still get a closer look at it thanks to HYPEX, who was able to secure a screenshot of the weapon.

Is the Frozen SMG available in Fortnite yet?

The Frozen SMG hasn’t made its way to the battle royale just yet, even though it seems to be good to go. However, the fact that it might be finished means that Epic Games may be preparing some major introduction for it in the coming weeks.

As with other Exotic weapons, you most likely will not be able to find it as loot around the map or in chests. Instead, you’ll have to find an NPC somewhere on the Island who has the SMG and purchase it from them with Gold Bars.

Of course, you should keep in mind that none of this has been officially confirmed by the developers, so you should take this information with a grain of salt until we hear something from Epic Games. The final plans for it could be completely different from what we’ve seen so far.

That said, it’ll be interesting to see how this new Exotic will affect the game, as these kinds of weapons have been known to change the meta. The fact that it’s shrouded in mystery just makes us eager to find out more about it.

Hopefully, we’ll get an update on the state of this weapon within the next few weeks. If the developers give any new information, then we’ll be sure to let you know.
