How to unlock Fortnite Kratos skin & PS5 exclusive style

Andrew Highton

With Chapter 2, Season 5 seemingly revolving around different hunters and iconic figures, it’s no surprise to the God of War himself, Kratos. To take control of the god slayer, read on to see how to unlock Kratos in Chapter 2, Season 5 of Fortnite.

The Fortnite community was left stunned after the shocking announcement of Kratos coming to the popular Battle Royale. Fortnite is no stranger to having famous names grace its shores, but a PlayStation exclusive icon like Kratos is something else.

It’s also quite odd to see one of the all-time most violent characters to be thrust into a world that is enjoyed by a younger audience. Regardless, the scarred and battered warrior is here, and here is how you can get your hands on him and his exclusive skin too.

Unlocking Kratos in Chapter 2, Season 5

Controlling the God of War won’t necessarily equate to more victories, but it’ll look damn cool to see 100 Kratos’ running around and saturating the lobby with the same skin. He will be available on ALL platforms – not just PlayStation – and is available right now.

To be a part of this new fad, you need to shell out 2 200 V-Bucks (Fortnite’s paid currency). In doing so, you will receive:

  • Kratos skin
  • Leviathan pickaxe
  • Mimir back-bling
  • A glider

If you aren’t quite willing to fork out that many V-Bucks for this set, but you desperately want to use Kratos, then you can simply pay 1, 500 V-Bucks and get the following:

  • Kratos skin
  • Mimir back-bling

PS5 exclusive style

In addition to these two Kratos bundles, PS5 players can earn an additional customizable style for your warrior by meeting certain conditions.

Follow these steps:

  1. Buy any bundle with the Kratos skin included
  2. Equip it
  3. Play a single match of Fortnite until completion on PS5
  4. You’ll then unlock the Armored Kratos Style

This shiny new look still features Kratos in all of his glory, but he’s now sporting a shiny gold armor piece over his top-half. We think he looks better like this, although we wouldn’t tell him otherwise even if we didn’t.
