Fortnite players claim best mode to farm challenges has been “killed” in Chapter 5

Fortnite Team Rumble used to be a popular mode, but multiple reasons, including the car meta in Chapter 5 Season 3, have caused this mode to lose its appeal.

The Team Rumble mode used to be a place where players mostly went to complete challenges because, unlike the battle royale, you would respawn if you died, instead of being sent back to the lobby.

With the arrival of Chapter 5, the mode was receiving lesser attention with each passing day, and with Reload now in the picture, players feel that the mode has died completely.

‘Lildarkiespidergang’ took to Reddit to express their unhappiness with Team Rumble not receiving the attention that it used to, as one player replied, “Epic killed it.”

Many agreed with what the OP had to say, with some chiming in with thoughts of their own. One said, “Shame what it’s become now, can’t even use it for challenges,” while another player added, “I stopped playing Team Rumble back when they made it harder to complete challenges on, with the instant circle closing in quickly.”

Over the years, the mode has received a lot of tweaks and upgrades, with the most significant being in Chapter 2 Season 7 where the storm was already in its second stage. Currently, the storm covers half of the map, making it difficult to explore and loot weapons.

However, as many players have pointed out “this season is really unfavorable for it with the map and loot pool,” and “the cars make it hard to play.”

Some players still find the mode fun, but most agree that Team Rumble in Fortnite needs a massive rework if Epic Games wants to restore it to its original glory.

With Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 arriving on August 16, players are hopeful that the developers will introduce some changes to their beloved mode. Apart from that, you can also look forward to the Deadpool & Wolverine crossover which will most likely arrive in the new season too.
