Fortnite Loot Island explained: Location & rewards
Loot Island is an important location in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, so here’s where to find it and the rewards up for grabs.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 brings back the iconic Loot Lake, this time as a floating location called Loot Island. Here’s where to find Loot Island in Fortnite and the rewards for conquering it.
After weeks of build-up, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is finally here. The major update introduced a brand-new section of the island, as well as fresh weapons and an exciting Attack on Titan crossover.
It also introduced a handful of mid-game events for players to deal with, including the Highcard boss that spawns on the island. Another one of these is the appearance of Loot Island, home to plenty of rewards to fight over.
Here’s everything you need to know about Loot Island in Fortnite, including where to find it and the rewards up for grabs.
Fortnite Loot Island location
Loot Island does not have a set location in Fortnite, instead, it will Rift in mid-game and float above a random spot on the map. This usually takes place after the third circle is revealed, and all surviving players will receive a ping to let them know it has arrived.
Once Loot Island has appeared in the sky, Rifts and verticle ziplines will appear all around it to help you reach it. Be warned, though, there will likely be a handful of other teams to contend with.
Fortnite Loot Island rewards
The main reward hiding on Loot Island in Fortnite is the Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifle, a devastatingly accurate weapon that’s new in Chapter 4 Season 2. Players can get hold of this new gun by opening the Vault under the house or securing the Capture Point marked by a gold flag.
You’ll need to have two Keys in your inventory to crack open the Vault, while the Capture Point simply requires one or more of your squad to stand in the marked circle until the bar fills up.
That’s not all though, as doing either of these will also provide plenty more rare loot, from Gold or Purple weapons to useful heals like Slurp Juice.
With so many valuable rewards up for grabs, the team that takes over Loot Island will be in a great position to go on and win the match.
