Fortnite is certainly no stranger to a crossover with other popular franchises, whether it be Marvel’s Avengers or Rick and Morty. But an unexpected leak has revealed that the next familiar face heading into the game will be Chris Hemsworth, from his Netflix original movie Extraction.

Season 7 of Fortnite is into its final month, but it looks as though the new content is going to keep on coming. Epic hasn’t been holding back recently, with the likes of Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy and even Superman himself making their way into the game.

But with Season 8 on the horizon, Fortnite data miners have uncovered screenshots of another new outfit. Unexpectedly, it bears a striking resemblance to the combat gear worn by Tyler Rake, Chris Hemsworth’s character in Extraction.

Fortnite Free Guy

Fortnite leaker Shiina shared the unreleased model on Twitter after it was uncovered in the files for the ongoing Free Guy promotion. Although fans spotted quickly that the skin didn’t resemble anything found in the Ryan Reynolds movie.

Given the codename “Dusty,” it soon became clear that this was intended to be used as part of a crossover with the 2020 Netflix original. This came as something of a surprise to players, as Fortnite usually prefers to tie in with movies around the time they are released, as it did with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Avengers Endgame.

The skin shares both the bracelets on the arms and the mic found on the tactical vest of Hemsworth’s character, suggesting that the Australian actor will soon be making his Fortnite debut.

Thor, who Hemsworth portrays in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, did show up during the fourth season of Chapter 2. However, this version of the character wasn’t tied to the MCU version and didn’t use the actor’s likeness.

Despite only a 56% score on Metacritic, the movie became the most-watched Netflix original of all time, and a sequel was greenlit shortly after its release.

As Season 7 begins drawing to a close, there’s no telling what else Epic might have in the pipeline.
