Fortnite leak reveals a new car with mounted turret
A new Fortnite leak has revealed a car with a mounted turret, potentially Halo’s Warthog, will be arriving in Fortnite.
Since its launch, Fortnite Battle Royale has continued to add more and more creative things to the game. From rideable shopping carts to the controversial Mechs in Season X, the tools at Fortnite players’ disposal have become more advanced.
Fortnite Chapter 2 has continued to add more vehicles and mechanics to the game, with drivable boats and cars. For the most part, vehicles are used to get around the map quickly and escape the storm, but this leaked vehicle could be a gamechanger.
Leaked car with mounted turret
Fortnite data miner VastBlast has discovered a car with a mounted turret found in the game files.
“Epic is working on a car with a mounted turret/gun,” said VastBlast. “This may or may not have something to do with the upcoming creative mods.”
Turrets have seen several nerfs and buffs over Fortnite’s history, ranging the device from OP to downright useless.
Some vehicles, such as boats and planes, already have weapons attached. These have varying degrees of effectiveness, so we can’t predict how powerful the car with a mounted turret will be.
Chapter 2, Season 5 has included a crossover with the Halo franchise. Master Chief is now a playable skin, and fan-favorite map Blood Gulch is available in Creative.
This leaked car may be a Warthog from the Halo franchise, which could continue the franchise crossover. Or, it could be something entirely of Epic Games’ creation.
It’s likely we won’t see the new vehicle until the new year after the Operation Snowdown event concludes.
