With the Winterfest Quests now expired, Epic Games have brought another batch of weekly Quests for players to get a nice XP boost for the season’s Battle Pass. Alongside hunting and taming wildlife, players are tasked to “travel distance using Kinetic Ore.”

What is Kinetic Ore in Fortnite?
Striking Kinetic Ore with your pickaxe will cause make it fly in the direction you’re facing, smashing through builds and damaging any player that it hits. Standing on it when it’s launched will carry you with it, giving you the low gravity effect to prevent fall damage.

Fortnite’s Kinetic Ore can be found all over the Shattered Slabs POI in the southwest corner of the map. Just head to the quarry area and look for the purple glowing rocks.
How to travel distance with Kinetic Ore in Fortnite
The most consistent way of traveling distance with Kinetic Ore in Fortnite is to aim up at the sky when hitting the rock with your pickaxe, then climb on top before it launches.
Your character should stay on top of the Kinetic Ore as it flies through the air but you’ll probably have to do it a few times to cover the 1,000 meters needed for the challenge.
