Fortnite 19.30 update patch notes

Fortnite’s 19.30 update is here, bringing with it the highly anticipated Uncharted crossover, and the return of the Treasure Map. Here’s everything you need to know, including the full Fortnite 19.30 patch notes.

Although Fortnite players are already excited to see what Epic Games have in store with Season 2, they aren’t finished updating Season 1 yet. After introducing the Silk Sonic bundle and Stoneheart Trials, Epic are set to add Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake in the 19.30 update.

On top of that, this patch also brings back the Treasure map, last seen in 2019, so players can search for treasure just like Drake.

Here’s everything we know about Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1’s 19.30 update.

Fortnite Uncharted crossover

Fortnite is set to crossover with the upcoming Uncharted movie on February 17, bringing skins for both Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake and Sophia Ali’s Chloe Frazer, as well as their look from the games.

Players will be able to purchase these skins from the Fortnite Item Shop, but there’s more than just cosmetic items coming from Uncharted…

Treasure Map returns

As part of the Uncharted crossover, Fortnite players will have the chance to hunt for riches of their own. The Treasure Map, which was last seen in May 2019, returns as part of the 19.30 update.

The Treasure Map leads players to a location with a buried treasure chest, which Legendary or Mythic weapons inside. Players can only hold one Treasure Map at a time but can use multiple during a match.

The item has received a visual update in this patch, which we can see thanks to leaker ShiinaBR.

Gyro & Flick Stick Controller Options

Epic Games have also given players new ways to play the game, adding the Gyro and Flick Stick controller options as part of this patch.

Players who use Nintendo Switch or Android devices already know about Gyro controls, but this update “brings more robust gyro controls to Fortnite on these two platforms, plus PS4, PS5, and PC.”

Gyro controls will let players control the camera by turning the controller. This setting is found in the ‘Touch and Motion’ settings tab, and Epic say it “can offer more precision than standard stick aiming.”

Initial Screen removed

Players who boot up Fortnite after the 19.30 patch will notice that they are no longer taken to the screen where you choose between Save the World, Battle Royale, and Creative modes.

Instead, you will be taken directly to the pre-game lobby, where you will be able to select what you want to do.
