Another week means another Fortnite update, with the v15.20 patch releasing on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, January 13.

Fortnite Season 5 is well underway with, with players given plenty of time to get accustomed to the new Zero Point map and the bounty system that has changed how the battle royale is played drastically.

Of course, Epic Games aren’t ones to sit on their laurels, and after a busy festive season, the developers have finally dropped the 15.20 patch for the game to help keep things fresh for those searching for Victory Royales.

Players have two new weapons to look forward to this week, alongside new details on the “secret” Battle Pass Outfit, and another adjust to Pre-Edit Options. Here’s everything you need to know about the patch before you jump out of the Battle Bus.

Lever Action Shotgun

The headline addition in the 15.20 patch is the Lever Action Shotgun, which is sure to pack a punch any time you find yourself in close-quarters combat.

Epic claim the weapon is “no peashooter,” and that “one well-aimed blast is enough to drop even the heartiest foe,” so this is likely to dominate situations where you’re up close and personal with enemies.

Damage statistics for the Lever Action Shotgun aren’t available just yet, but the developers have confirmed it will be available in regular loot drops, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get your hands on one.

Hop Rock Dualies Exotic

Alongside the Lever Action Shotgun, players will also be able to get their hands on a new Exotic weapon, the Hop Rock Dualies.

Players can spend their Gold Bars to purchase it from Characters around the island, and with the Hop Rock Dualies, you’ll be able to jump around and drop in on your opponents before shredding through the enemy.

On top of that, Epic have also confirmed that the reduced price offer for Exotic items has been continued, so you can get your hands on the Dualies for less.

Secret Battle Pass Outfit Clues

Players looking for new information on the Secret Battle Pass Outfit are also coming in this update, with Epic confirming that the mystery characters has left some clues in Stealthy Stronghold about who they are, and what they’re planning for the future of Fortnite.

Elsewhere, Agent Jones is set to bring in two new Hunters to join The Mandalorian and the rest of his squad to ensure peace on the Fortnite island while Zero Point continues.

Pre-Edit Options

After making some major changes to Pre-Edit Options in the v15.10 update, Epic have continued to tweak the mechanic after listening to feedback from players.

With ‘Disable Pre-Edits’ turned on, all player-built structures will be uneditable until they are physically placed in the environment, making it easier for players to select the right piece every time.
