A World Cup Path to Glory promo has made its way to FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team and players will have a chance to secure some top-tier cards that are eligible for upgrades.

With the 2022 World Cup set to begin on November 20, football fans around the world are eager to enjoy the iconic tournament. Of course, FIFA 23 will be receiving tons of World Cup content including exciting promos and special items coming to Ultimate Team.

The first of these promos is the World Cup Path to Glory which has delivered special live promo cards as well as World Cup FUT Heroes. With so many incredible items up for grabs, you’ll want to stockpile your packs, including the ones you’ll receive from World Cup Swaps.

FIFA 23 World Cup Path to Glory release date

EA confirmed that Team 2 of the World Cup Path to Glory promo appeared in FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team on November 18 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.

Team 1 of the PTG Ultimate Team promo arrived on November 11 and you can find the featured players for both squads below.

Ultimate Team Path to Glory World Cup upgrades explained

Path to Glory upgrade FIFA 23

Path to Glory upgrades in FIFA 23 will be linked to real-life World Cup performances. These special Ultimate Team Path to Glory items will receive major boosts depending on how far their affiliated nations make it in the tournament.

Here are the upgrades available to World Cup Path to Glory players:

  • Qualify for Group Stages: +1 rating
  • Win Round of 16 match: +1 rating
  • Win Quarter Finals match: 5* Weak Foot upgrade
  • Win Semi Finals match: 5* Skill Moves upgrade
  • Win World Cup Final: +1 rating & 3 new Traits

Players who already boast 5* Skills Moves or 5* Skills will instead receive another +1 rating.

Don’t forget that World Cup FUT Heroes will also be available in packs throughout the promo, but these cards are not eligible for upgrades.
