Team of the Year is always one of the biggest events on the Ultimate Team calender, and FIFA 23 has been no exception. Once again, EA has handed out incredible special cards to the players who have lit up football over the last 12 months, from Lionel Messi to Kylian Mbappe.
But what about those who just missed out? Luckily, every year, EA release extra TOTY Honourable Mention cards for the stars who deserved a shout-out but narrowly lost the vote.

EA revealed the TOTY Honourable Mentions cards on Friday, January 27. A ton of content arrived on January 27 with the Honourable Mentions squad, the TOTY 12th Man, and a Flashback Mane SBC all making their way to FIFA 23.

As the name suggests, FIFA 23 Honourable Mentions are awarded to players who didn’t earn enough votes to make the Team of the Year, but still had standout seasons worthy of recognition.
TOTY is always the biggest Ultimate Team event.These special cards received upgrades compared to their regular stats, but aren’t quite as eye-watering as the TOTY winners.
