FIFA 23 players received the Road to the Final promo as football’s biggest European competitions returned to action. The RTTF promo brought live cards to Ultimate Team, so here’s how to track upgrades.

FIFA 23 promos are continuing to spice up Ultimate Team content. The new year began with TOTY, followed by the exciting Future Stars promo. Then, the Road to the Final promo took Ultimate Team by storm.

The classic RTTF promo is one of Ultimate Team’s most thrilling as it highlights the best teams remaining in Europe’s top competitions and brings live cards to Ultimate Team. Here’s an overview of the RTTF upgrades players can track in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 Road to the Final upgrade tracker

FIFA 23 Road to the Final cards are sought-after items with major boosts that will be hard to ignore. Therefore, Ultimate Team fans will look to purchase RTTF players in the hopes that they could secure a few upgrades.

The value of FIFA 23 RTTF cards will fluctuate greatly depending on the potential upgrades.

FIFA 23 RTTF upgrades explained

FIFA 23 RTTF upgrade path — FIFA 23’s RTTF upgrade path is similar to FIFA 22’s.

The FIFA 23 RTTF promo will hand out a +1 upgrade for every stage that the player manages to qualify for in their respective European competition.

There are some exceptions to the rule that players will want to make note of. For starters, a +1 upgrade will be awarded to Champions League players who win the first match following the arrival of RTTF. Meanwhile, Europa League and Europa Conference League players will have to qualify for the Round of 16 for their first upgrade.

In addition, new traits, weak foot, and skill move upgrades can be unlocked along the way.

Here’s an overview of the FIFA 23 RTTF upgrade path with the dates you can expect to see the upgrades go live in-game:

Qualify for Quarter Finals: +1 (March 17)
Qualify for Semi Finals: +1 & new traits (April 21)

Win the Final: +1 & 5 Star skill move upgrade (June 12)

EA clarified that: “If a Player Item already has 5*WF and they reach the Final, they’ll receive a +1 In-Form Upgrade instead. Similarly, if a Player Item already has 5*SM and their club wins the Final, they’ll receive an additional +1 In-Form Upgrade instead.”

You’ll also want to keep in mind that a +1 upgrade doesn’t always allude to a +1 rating increase. Players will receive a +1 increase based on EA’s upgrade system. Therefore a +1IF upgrade would boost an 86-rated card to 88.
