Numbers Up is the latest promotion EA has announced for FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, a brand new Adidas-themed special card for FUT 22. Here’s everything we know about the start dates, how the Adidas 99 upgrades work, and which players will be included.

Special cards and promotions are one of the many things that keep fans hooked on the Ultimate Team grind, and FIFA 22 is no exception.

EA’s constant rollout of new cards like Heroes, Ones to Watch, or Road to the Knockouts keeps players coming back to see what the mode has to offer.

The newest FIFA 22 promotion is Numbers Up – backed by sporting giant Adidas and donning the slogan “Don’t Stop Until You’re 99.” Here’s everything we know so far.

EA‘s FIFA 22 Numbers Up Adidas 99 event has officially kicked off in Ultimate Team as of Friday, November 12, 2021, at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST / 6 PM GMT.

The event has been released with an entire lineup of new cards in packs, with SBC players and objectives to be released throughout the promo.

Every other event so far this year has released two squads of players – the second coming a week after the first – but since this is a new promo it’s hard to say if we’ll see the same schedule.

How do FIFA 22 Numbers Up upgrades work?

Based on the information we have so far, every player chosen for the Adidas 99 promotion will see one stat upgraded throughout the year until it hits 99.

The upgraded stat is chosen by EA themselves before the cards are released, and will receive an initial boost when they first land in packs. After that, it will receive two more upgrades throughout the year, the last of which will take it up to 99.

Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna‘s chosen stat is pace – which will increase to 99 before the end of the season. Keep in mind that the boosted stat depends on which boots they wear in-game.

Players wearing the X will increase their pace, PREDATOR players will have improved dribbling and those wearing COPA will have enhanced passing stats.

Since this promotion is backed by sportswear brand Adidas, it’s safe to say that the players chosen to be included will be endorsed by the German company.

Many of the game’s biggest names have penned deals to wear Adidas boots on the pitch, so there is plenty of scope for some great special cards.

These are our best predictions of the stars who EA could handpick from the Adidas roster:

  • Lionel Messi
  • Mohammed Salah
  • Lucas Moura
  • Keylor Navas
  • Scott McTominay
  • Toni Kroos
  • Timo Werner
  • Dele Alli
  • Ciro Immobile
  • Jamie Vardy
  • Oscar
  • Gareth Bale
  • Paulo Dybala

That’s all for the first team announced in the FIFA 22 Numbers Up event. We’ll update this page with any new information when it is announced.
