The DMR received a buff with the launch of Warzone Season 4 that went under the radar for many. Now, Swagg has shown off his new DMR loadout to win matches in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Season 1 of Warzone will forever live in infamy as “DMRZone.” It was the period of CoD in which the Black Ops Cold War’s DMR ran rampant throughout the battle royale.

Everyone was using it, all the top streamers were using it, and it got to the point where Raven Software ultimately had no choice but to nerf it into the ground. But the DMR’s stock has risen slightly in recent times, especially with Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson’s most recent video showcasing the improved DMR.

Discussing a crazy game from one of his streams, Swagg said: “The gun that I used what everybody was freaking out about, everyone was like no, no, no, there’s no way you’re rocking it. If you guys know the history of the DMR, they actually buffed it in an update man.”

Swagg then referred to our Season 4 weapon buffs and nerfs article from June 16, 2021, featuring the patch notes, which said:

  • Recoil magnitude decreased
  • Even after its falling out, the DMR 14 (BOCW) is still a respectable choice with the right Attachments. A little bump to help stay on target at a distance should help the DMR 14 (BOCW) hold its own in the face of fierce mid to long-range competition.

  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 16.3″ Titanium
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 30 Rnd

Swagg absolutely destroys the opposition in his game by landing an impressive 34-kill game en-route to a Warzone Victory.

Many of his kills were scored with the DMR and it certainly seems like it’s not too far away from its broken Season 1 state.
