FaZe Swagg discussing Warzone 2 and DMZ

Top streamer and FaZe Clan star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has played both Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and DMZ early and has explained what he thinks needs to change ahead of launch.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 finally arrives alongside Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 on November 16. With the release so close, Infinity Ward have revealed more about its new Interrogation mechanic, Backpack system, and allowed content creators such as FaZe Swagg to stream Warzone 2 and DMZ early.

While Swagg felt that Warzone 2 was “worlds better” than the Call of Duty Next build and “Al Mazrah is fire,” he had a few issues that he feels should be either tweaked or completely scrapped.

One of Warzone 2’s biggest problems “is Buy Stations, there is not enough,” explained Swagg. “The map is a pretty big map and there need to be way more Buy Stations. There’s only five or six on the map so every time you go to the Buy Station your anxiety is going crazy…there was a team at the Buy Station every single time.”

He also brought up the Buy Station’s UI, wishing that it would return to the price-ordered list from the original game instead of boxes.

Warzone 2 has completely changed how players can get their loadout, but you can no longer purchase them from Buy Stations — something Swagg feels needs to change. “It’s more rewarding to go around and loot for cash and do contracts when you know you can buy your loadout.”

He thinks there needs to be much more loot as well, explaining that it had the same problems as Warzone’s original March 2020 launch, where there are not enough cash or armor plates to be found. Swagg would also prefer a return to the classic looting system, calling Warzone 2’s “clunky.”

FaZe Swagg’s final Warzone 2 complaint was the Gulag, where he thinks the 2v2 scenario is “kind of a mess,” and would rather they scrap it.

As for DMZ, he said there’s not really any reason for him to play the mode. Swagg believes there should be a marketplace where players can purchase exclusive rewards such as camos and Blueprints that carry over into Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, giving more incentive to play the mode.

Overall, Swagg said he loved his time with Warzone 2. With Season 1 Reloaded bringing the next major update for Warzone 2, we’ll need to wait and see if any of his feedback has been taken on board.
