Warzone players have been calling for Verdansk to return to the game for many months, and Kris ‘FaZe Swagg’ Lamberson has promised to get another tattoo on his butt if Raven deliver.

With Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 expected to drop later this year, the original Warzone is nearing the end of its successful lifespan.

With so little time remaining before the sequel drops, it’s possible that the developers will use this time to experiment and release some fan-requested features, such as the long-awaited return of the original map – Verdansk.

Among those calling for the OG map to return to Warzone is FaZe Swagg, who’s made an interesting promise to try and spur the developers into action.

Speaking during a Twitch stream on August 3, the CoD pro vowed to get the beloved map tattooed on his butt if the devs bring it back for one final run.

“If they bring back Verdansk, I’ll get the name Verdansk tatted on my a*s, right below the Raven Software,” Swagg promised live on stream. “I’ll have it say literally Verdansk, if they bring it back.”

However, he did add a time limit on how long his offer stands for: “But they have to bring it back before Modern Warfare 2 otherwise it doesn’t f*****g [count].”

Swagg infamously got the name and logo of Warzone devs Raven Software inked in the same place after they reverted the loadout changes back in Vanguard and Warzone Season 1. It’s a bizarre but effective tactic that worked back then, and fans will be hoping it works again now.

Given that Infinity Ward’s next entry in the series is due on October 28, the developers only have a couple of months to bring Verdansk into the mix.

Verdansk’s return has been heavily rumored ever since the initial backlash towards Caldera. Leaked Warzone Mobile footage gave fans their first look at the old faithful for many months, and an Activision employee even teased that it would be coming back in 2023.

However, we’ll have to wait and see if Raven decide to add Verdansk back to the original Warzone, either as an LTM or as part of a map rotation, and if Swagg will be doubling up on embarrassing CoD-related tattoos.
