The close-quarters action of Warzone 2’s Ashika Island means it has a completely different meta to that of Al Mazrah, and CoD pro Ean “FaZe Booya” Chase has unveiled what he believes is the perfect weapon combination for Resurgence.

Warzone 2 Season 2 introduced the brand-new Ashika Island map and players have wasted no time exploring it to uncover its many secrets and Easter eggs. Resurgence was a popular mode in the original, so it’s no surprise that fans were delighted to see it return in the sequel.

Al Mazrah features large open spaces, but Ashika Island is a more compact map that promotes fast-paced gameplay. This means there is a totally different weapon meta to learn when switching to Resurgence from the battle royale modes.

With Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded around the corner, and after weeks of experience, Resurgence guru FaZe Booya has revealed the ideal combination of weapons to make the most of Ashika Island.

Most players will tend to run a mid to long-range Assault Rifle paired with a close-range SMG in Warzone 2, and Booya believes that the ISO Hemlock and Lachmann Sub are perfect partners.

FaZe Booya’s best Ashika Island loadout in Warzone 2

ISO Hemlock

  • Barrel: Fielder-T50
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag

Lachmann Sub

  • Barrel: L38 Falcon 226mm
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Stock: MEER Recoil-56 Factory Stock
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
  • Magazine: 50-Round Drum

The Hemlock has made quite an impression since arriving as a new weapon in Season 2, instantly becoming a top-tier option and earning itself a ban from Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play.

Meanwhile, the Lachmann Sub, better known as the classic MP5, took advantage of the nerfs to the Fennec 45 to become the go-to SMG.

Booya felt that running the MP5 for mobility and fire rate in close-quarters situations, along with the Hemlock to pick off enemies on different buildings, is the “ultimate” Ashika Island loadout.

“You’ll see in these gameplays how consistently I drop high kill games [and] how easy they look with these class setups,” said Booya in an upload to his YouTube channel. “They are my two favorite guns, the ISO and MP5, they get the job done.”
