FaZe ‘Ean Chase’ Booya has revealed the AR loadout he’s been using on Warzone 2’s Ashika Island following the Season 3 update, claiming that it’s still “broken” despite receiving nerfs.

When a new Warzone 2 season drops, players will scramble through the patch notes and check the weapon buffs and nerfs to see the big changes to the meta. These buffs and nerfs often indicate which weapons will be strong for the season, and which may be negatively affected by nerfs.

For Warzone 2 Season 3, the meta has certainly opened up, especially thanks to the brand-new weapons coming in strong.

However, FaZe Booya is calling a nerfed Assault Rifle the “number one” option for Ashika Island in Season 3. The AR in question is the TAQ-56, which saw a nerf to its headshot damage in the Season 3 patch.

Despite the nerf, FaZe Booya claims that the weapon is “broken,” and the buff to all the larger magazines in Season 3 has a part to play.

FaZe Booya’s Warzone 2 TAQ-56 loadout

  • Barrel: 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4

FaZe Booya opts for the 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel to help increase damage range, bullet velocity, and hip-fire accuracy for when you get a bit too close for comfort.

As for the muzzle, the Harbinger D20 will further increase the bullet velocity and damage range, while the FTAC Ripper provides some stability and recoil control for those long-range engagements.

The most important part of this build is the 60 Round Mag, which was buffed in the Season 3 update along with other large mags. This large mag no longer has many negatives, making it more than worthwhile as it has less of an impact on mobility and handling.

Lastly, FaZe Booya goes for the Aim OP-V4 optic, which is a nice clean sight to use with the build.

You should definitely give this loadout a try, as FaZe Booya managed to get a huge 32-kill win on Ashika Island, proving just how strong the build is.
