The Spires in Fortnite Season 6

Fortnite Season 6 is officially here, and as always, that means the game’s map has undergone some serious changes. Three new POIs have been added to the island, while Guardian Spires have popped up across the Primal biome.

The Season 6 v16.00 update is packed full of new features, including weapon crafting and animal taming, but one of the most exciting things for Fortnite fans is the changes to the island.

Epic Games are aware that playing on the same map over and over again can cause fatigue, so with every seasonal update they add new points-of-interest to keep the map fresh, while removing locations that are boring or unpopular.

With the Season 6 update, the center of the map has been taken over by the Primal biome, a direct result of the Zero Crisis Finale event. Inside it, three new POIs have sprung up, along with six Guardian Spires. Here’s every Fortnite Season 6 map change.

Fortnite Season 6 Primal map

Fortnite’s map has undergone a pretty significant change, with the Primal biome reaching out from the middle of the island to cover a significant part of the map.

Six arms protrude from the center, with Guardian Spires found at the end of each one. Directly in the middle sits The Spire, where the Zero Point sits enclosed thanks to The Foundation.

The Spire

The Zero Point used to sit in the middle of the island, and while it can still be found there, it’s now enclosed inside a massive tower built by The Foundation called The Spire.

Fortnite players can climb the tower to get the high ground on any enemy, while there are also some smaller buildings built around the base of The Spire where loot can be collected.

Colossal Crops

Colossal Coliseum was a fixture in Fortnite Season 5, but unfortunately for fans of the POI, it has now disappeared. Instead, a farm has taken its place known as Colossal Crops.

Only a few walls of the Coliseum remain standing, and with the buildings in this location fairly small and spread apart, this will be a tough place to remain hidden.

Primal Pond

Primal Pond sits between The Spire and Misty Meadows, and is full of buildings and homes you can search through for loot.

There are also some tall buildings dotted around this location, so you’ll be able to get some verticality on your enemies should you find yourself in a gun fight.

Guardian Spires

There are six Guardian Spires in Fortnite Season 6, found at the end of the Primal wilderness arms that spread outwards from The Spire.

These are smaller versions of the central location, but be warned, they are protected by the Guardians, who are determined to protect their area and stop players from looting.

More map changes are being discovered by players all the time, so keep checking back as we continue to update this article with any others we find.
