EA FC 25 launches on September 20 in early access and leaks have revealed the first promo of the season – Total Rush.

The Ultimate Team mode is all about building a world-conquering squad full of the game’s best players, but the arrival of regular promos and new special cards keeps the chase going. While many had expected the Road to the Knockouts event to be the first of the new game, leaks have revealed that the devs have something entirely different planned.

Here’s everything we know so far about the EA FC 25 Total Rush promo.

When is FC 25 Total Rush promo?

There is currently no official date for the EA FC 25 Total Rush promo, but we expect it to arrive on Friday, September 20, 2024, the same day that early access begins.

In FC 24, early access players got the Nike Mad Ready event that was exclusive to them and couldn’t be accessed by anyone who bought the Standard Edition. With leaks from ‘Donk Trading’ and ‘FGZ’ claiming that Total Rush is the “first” promo and the name of Season 1, it’s likely to be this year’s Ultimate Edition-only campaign.

However, nothing has been confirmed by the devs just yet, so it’s also possible that it will arrive on September 27, the day of FC 25’s worldwide launch, and Road to the Knockouts will arrive the following week.

What is Total Rush in EA FC 25?

Little is known about Total Rush at this stage, but based on the name it could be focused on the 5v5 Rush mode that’s new to Ultimate Team in FC 25.

This might mean that these special cards can only be earned by playing the new mode, or there could be opportunities to upgrade them by completing Rush challenges. It’s also possible that the name is just a reference and they’ll work as more traditional cards that are added to packs and upgrade a player’s stats.

Alternatively, if Total Rush does turn out to be this year’s Nike Mad Ready, they could simply be a unique card design that doesn’t actually improve the stats of players.

EA don’t tend to go overboard when it comes to the first promo, especially if launches during the early access, to make sure that latecomers don’t miss out on a potential meta card. We’ll have to wait and see exactly what the devs have planned for his new event closer to launch.
