EA Sports will be bringing a ton of official licenses to the table with the release of FIFA 23, including a new and improved partnership with Major League Soccer.

MLS isn’t exactly making a return to FIFA 23, since the league was featured in FIFA 22, but it will receive an update that should take it to new heights. In North America, the beautiful game continues to grow in popularity, and MLS has committed to nurturing this growth by doubling down on its partnership with EA Sports.

FIFA 23 will boast the most expansive list of licenses the franchise has ever seen, which brings Juventus and new International teams to the game. Of course, this includes player likeness, stadiums, and badges among other benefits.

On August 23, EA Sports and MLS announced in a joint statement that they’d be extending their long-standing partnership heading into FIFA 23. Not only will this improve the quality of MLS content in FIFA 23, but the multi-year agreement will persist beyond this year’s game.

As FIFA leaker DonkTrading puts it, the addition and improvement of EA Sports’ licenses is the best case scenario for football fans: “Full licensing for all leagues is a W & is the clear path here.”

Donk hints at new face scans for MLS players as well as new MLS stadiums in FIFA 23, which the announcement blog also confirms: “The renewed partnership will continue to further MLS’ authentic in-game integration, with fans able to play with their favorite MLS clubs, players and stadiums.”

The MLS is clearly on the rise with stars like Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Bernardeschi, and Cucho Hernández joining the league at the top of their game. As MLS continues to attract stars from around the world, FIFA 23 players can expect to get their hands on authentic versions of them in-game.
