Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
Dr Disrespect liked Modern Warfare 2 — except for one major issue
Dr Disrespect has revealed that enjoyed playing the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, with the exception of one important feature.
Dr Disrespect has been a vocal critic of the Call of Duty series in recent months, but the popular streamer has revealed that he’s actually enjoyed what he played of the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer so far – except for one glaring issue.
Now that the Modern Warfare 2 beta has wrapped up on all platforms, all that’s left to do is wait for the full game’s release at the end of October. There were plenty of talking points coming out of the trial period, and big-name creators like JGOD and TimTheTatman were quick to share their thoughts on Infinity Ward’s latest offering.
Fans have been especially eager to hear what streaming star Dr Disrespect has to say about Modern Warfare 2, after the Two-Time hit out at the Call of Duty franchise multiple times in recent months.
During his October 7 stream, Doc revealed that although the beta is over, he was actually in the mood to hop back in.
“You know what I kind of feel like playing is the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. Like right now would be a good time to play Modern Warfare multiplayer,” the streamer said before dropping into a Warzone game. “Level up some guns, level up my guy, learn the maps. Really? Yeah.”
Dr Disrespect went on to say he has enjoyed Modern Warfare 2 so far, but the controversial skill-based matchmaking system spoiled the experience.
“I thought Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer was actually pretty good, until that SBMM started f*****g kicking in,” Doc continued, arguing that tougher lobbies made the game less fun after a while. “I don’t want to be at the edge of my seat every single moment.”
SBMM is a system used in every CoD multiplayer since 2007, and in many other online titles, which places players in matches with opponents who are supposed to be of an equal skill level.
It’s a feature that has proved to be unpopular with streamers and top-level players, with many believing that it punishes players for being skilled at the game.
Despite this criticism, fans will be reassured that Dr Disrespect thinks that Modern Warfare 2 is off to a promising start, which should only add to the hype ahead of its full release at the end of the month.
