Does Modern Warfare 2 have a Christmas event?
Modern Warfare 2’s Season 1 Reloaded update is fast approaching, but here’s everything you need to know about the possibility of a Christmas event.
With plenty of CoD fans enjoying time off from work and school throughout the Holidays, Modern Warfare 2 players will look to level up their weapons and work toward their next Prestige.
Previously, the devs spread the Holiday cheer by delivering Christmas events to Call of Duty titles, and many are wondering if Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded will deliver a Christmas event.
Here’s what you can expect from Modern Warfare 2 throughout the Christmas period.
Will Modern Warfare 2 have a Christmas event?
Modern Warfare 2 will not have a full-fledged Christmas event for players to experience. While a full-blown event is not expected to hit Modern Warfare 2, there are some festive elements that players can look forward to.
For starters, a Christmas version of the new Season 1 Reloaded map Shipment will offer plenty of Holiday spirit.
The standard reimagined version of Shipment will be available at the start of Season 1 Reloaded on December 14. The Holiday overhaul of Shipment will then arrive on December 21.
Modern Warfare 2’s Shipment is now set on a cargo ship and the Holiday version will see its main deck covered in jolly decorations and lights. Holiday Shipment will be playable from December 21 to January 4.
Furthermore, the devs confirmed that players won’t have to deal with Vanguard’s controversial Krampus: “Those on the naughty list won’t have to fret over any mythological creatures during this holiday season.”
In addition to a Shipment overhaul, players will also have the chance to purchase the new Klaus Operator. As seen in the image above, Klaus dons a red Santa hat that is sure to strike fear into the hearts of anyone on the naughty list.
The Klaus Operator Bundle will arrive as Tracer Pack in the Modern Warfare 2 store and it will feature the new Operator, two Weapon blueprints, and other festive items.
