Creepy Vanguard bug turns dead bodies into objective obsessed demons

Vanguard players will finally be relieved to see teammates dedicated to playing the objective as a new bug is turning dead bodies into unkillable demons. These seemingly possessed corpses can still earn objective points in what looks like the weirdest Call of Duty bug of all time.

Vanguard rolled out a minor update on January 27 that adjusted the Fortified and Cold Blooded Perks while also fixing certain spawns. Although CoD fans were happy to see the game receive minor tuning before Season 2’s major update, it seems another issue is afoot.

This new bug is turning dead bodies into gliding corpses that cannot be killed while they continue to earn objective points for their team.

Sub Pens Vanguard map

As of now, it’s unclear whether the glitch can occur on all Vanguard maps, but the two separate videos shared to the Vanguard subreddit showcase the bug on the Sub Pens map.

Sub Pens is far from a fan-favorite map and this new bug might offer players another reason to avoid it altogether.

After an enemy body appears in the Patrol point, the capture point goes from blue to yellow which indicates the point is contested. When the player looks for the enemy contesting the point, they’re shocked to see a dead body with its back to the floor scamper around the objective.

The player then attempts to unload a clip into the possessed corpse only to find out that the bullets are useless. Furthermore, the red nameplate showcasing the player ID indicates that the enemy player is technically still active.

Despite how frustrating Vanguard’s multiplayer experience has become with the number of bugs and glitches it’s difficult not to look at this video and chuckle. It seems as though the enemy player maintains control of the corpse as it continues to contest the moving objective.

Hopefully, the devs identify the issue and roll out a fix to make Sub Pens safe again. When a fix is available, we’ll be sure to update this article so stay tuned.
