Crazy new Stasis exploit found in Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer

There is a ton of new content in Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer, and players have discovered an absurd Stasis exploit to take advantage of in the new Cryosthesia 77K Sidearm.

Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion brought plenty of new features for players to enjoy, including the Stasis subclass, which lets players utilize the Darkness in battle. It’s even more powerful in Season of the Splicer.

Aside from the Vault of Glass raid and a new Battle Pass, the new season also introduced a brand-new Exotic Pistol called the Cryosthesia 77k, which has an exploit that lets you boost Stasis to an absurd extent.

Landing final blows with the Cryosthesia 77k lets you enable a Charge Shot with the Liquid Cooling perk that lets you “freeze someone five different ways,” according to Destiny Twitch streamer Joverrated.

The streamer attached a clip where they used the Charge Shot to stop their enemy’s momentum before using two more abilities followed by a Super to entrap them. The opponent was unable to break out of this for a half-minute.

This all took place during a competitive Trials match, and players who cannot break out of their frozen entrapment in a short amount of time might find themselves listed as “AFK” by the game, which is no doubt frustrating.

This clip went viral and had over 100,000 views at the time of writing. The streamer was quick to add that “Stasis is fine” as a joke, and it’s clear that the Cryosthesia 77k is an extremely powerful weapon.

Players who purchase the Season of the Splicer Season Pass will automatically unlock this Exotic weapon and will be able to use this weapon perk to dominate opponents in Stasis.

You can try out this new combo for yourself with the new freezing abilities in the game. If you’re looking to Transmog in Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer, you can also check our Armor Synthesis guide.
