Modern Warfare 2 players are about to be inundated with challenges and stats galore as the Season 1 update will be adding a full Combat Record to the game.

For all the good things that Infinity Ward have been able to achieve with Modern Warfare 2 from its array of quality maps, and the excitement of upcoming content – especially Raids – there has been the odd negative too.

Between a god mode glitch and the mixed reception to MW2’s Perk system, players have had the odd gripe with the latest CoD game in 2022. Above all else, a common complaint has been the conspicuous absence of a Combat Record / Barracks that usually accompanies every release.

It was expected that it would launch alongside the looming Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1 launch, and Activision has confirmed this to be the case.

In a blog detailing the complete ins and outs of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, the devs ran through all the content coming into the game, and the Combat Record was a part of this.

“Combat Records will also arrive in Modern Warfare II in Season 01. More intel to follow,” the official blog had to say on the matter.

This announcement was paired alongside another missing feature, Hardcore Mode, now renamed Tier 1, which will also be dropping in Season 1.

Even though Activision haven’t pulled back the curtain on the Combat Record too much, we’re already pretty certain as to what it will have.

Modern Warfare 2’s Combat Record is likely to have complete leaderboards showing in-depth stats across all modes, an up-to-date profile containing your own individual stats such as kill-to-death ratio, an abundance of challenges to earn more XP, and a lot more.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 goes live on November 16 and when it does, you’ll be able to unlock the new M13B Assault Rifle, plus, play a returning fan-favorite map.
