CoD players call for classic attachment to return in Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 is set to bring a lot of nostalgia for veteran Call of Duty players, but fans are looking for one specific attachment to return.

Modern Warfare 2 is set to bring a lot of innovation to the franchise, from new audio technology which is supposedly going to make footsteps better, to new weapons and the DMZ mode.

The game is also set to bring a lot of nostalgia, with weapons and characters returning from the original Modern Warfare 2.

With that said, in anticipation of MW2’s Multiplayer Beta and Campaign early access, CoD fans are letting the devs know what classic features they would like to see return in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2.

Reddit user Pajo555 put a post up in the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit highlighting a classic CoD attachment for pistols that they would like to see return: “They should bring back the tactical knife for pistols in MWII.”

The Tac Knife is a classic CoD attachment for pistols that allows the player to run around with both their pistol and knife out. It can save your life in close combat by allowing you to melee a lot faster.

In the comments, players seem to agree that the attachment offered a “fun playstyle,” but the “lunge feature,” on the Tac Knife would need to be “nerfed a bit.”

The OP does make it clear that “Commando pro can stay gone tho,” which is a Perk from Modern Warfare 2 that increased your melee distance, which many considered extremely overpowered.

The Tac Knife attachment was first seen in the original Modern Warfare 2, so it would make a lot of sense to see it return in the reboot, especially as it featured in Modern Warfare (2019).
