CoD Mobile’s newest Mythic weapon, the Peacekeeper MK2 Artifact, will be arriving to the game late in the week of December 28.

We’re now in CoD Mobile Season 13 titled Winter War, which has added Nuketown Russia from BO4, brought back Holiday Raid, and introduced a new weapon, the Peacekeeper MK2.

The Peacekeeper MK2 is unlocked at Tier 21 of CoD Mobile’s Battle Pass. It’s a “fully automatic assault rifle with superior handling and high rate of fire.” The Gunsmith system is said to also give it “unimaginable flexibilities.”

CoD Mobile Season 13 roadmap

This new Assault Rifle will be receiving a Mythic variant which applies a magma effect to the gun.

CoD Mobile’s new Mythic weapon

On December 30, the official CoD Mobile Twitter account tweeted that the new Mythic weapon will be coming to the game “this week.”

CoD Mobile devs posted a community update on the Reddit page on December 21 which gave details for the new weapon.

“As per usual, the Mythic is all about making something as stylish and high quality as possible, with a wide array of customization options for everything from death effects to charms,” said the CoD Mobile team.

This Mythic variant also has its own backstory and lore, as detailed by the devs:

“This weapon of extraterrestrial origin is forged from a meteorite fallen from space and dropped into the cold reaches of Antarctica. MAEVWAY, one of the world’s largest weapons manufactures, got to the scene first and their scientists found that the meteorite had merged with Antarctica ice, becoming something curiously both frozen and burning.”

“Of course, as an ambitious weapon manufacturer MAEVWAY sought a way to utilize this unique element and for their first attempt they’ve merged a meteorite fragment with a Peacekeeper MK2. They’ve created something that is somehow alive, frozen, and burning with magma; they’ve created The Peacekeeper MK2 – Artifact.”

How to unlock the Mythic weapon

There was controversy surrounding the last Mythic weapon drop. To unlock the variant, you had to receive it in a lucky draw, with each try escalating in price. Players reported spending over $500 to unlock the complete variant.

To have a complete Mythic weapon, you must first unlock the gun, then receive the Mythic attachments through random loot crates. Without spending the extra money for these attachments, the weapon will behave like a regular gun.

In the patch notes, devs said they have “optimized mythic weapons awards,” so we’ll see how this affects unlocking the Mythic Peacekeeper MK2 when it drops.
