While many would expect the announcement of Shi no Numa’s return to Call of Duty: Mobile to bring excitement and joy, players are disappointed that it will only be for a limited time.

With Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 on the horizon and Warzone Mobile also set to release in 2023, things are looking good for mobile gamers.

CoD Mobile Season 8 has offered players a variety of content, from new weapons and the Black Ops map Express to a brand-new Battle Pass filled with exciting cosmetics.

With that said, CoD Mobile fans have been dying for the return of Zombies, and while the devs seem to have fulfilled players’ wishes, the community are seemingly disappointed with its limited-time label.

After being scrapped in 2020, Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 sees the return of the fan-favorite Shi no Numa Zombies map.

Reddit user popoloco973 put a post up highlighting Shi no Numa’s return being a limited-time mode, stating that “Zombies fans must be banging their heads against walls right now.”

In the description for Shi no Numa’s return it states that it is a “limited time mode,” to which players have been reacting in the comments of the Reddit post.

Players have been calling for this mode to return since it was replaced by the objective-based Undead Siege mode, and although the map has been confirmed to be returning, players aren’t happy with the dev’s decision to make it a limited-time mode.

One of the comments reads “who was the idiot that came up with the idea to leave a mode that disappeared for 3 years for a limited time,” showing clear disappointment with the decision.

Other players seem to agree, with another player commenting “Can’t imagine them bringing back a long awaited mode and just use the same recycled map for a limited time?”

Clearly, the community feels disappointed that a mode so highly requested to return is coming back only to be removed after a limited time. Perhaps the outrage will cause Activision to make a change, but we’ll keep you updated in the meantime.
