Call of Duty: Mobile Season 13 brings with it a new point-of-interest. Activision announced that the Battle Royale map will get a new snow-covered location to mark the holiday season.

COD Mobile Season 13 is almost here, and there’s a lot to be excited about. Every update brings new content, and the hype has grown since Activision recently confirmed that the highly-anticipated Diamond Camo will finally arrive this season. There will also be another interesting addition.

Most updates often include new locations as part of the content they bring along, and this is no different. We’re getting a new snowy point-of-interest in Season 13. This brand new area is being added to mark the holiday season, and the developers have given us a good look at what to expect.

New snow-filled area in CoD Mobile Season 13

Activision revealed this new area on the official Call of Duty: Mobile Twitter page. They posted a teaser image that features some snow, ski lifts, a lodge, and ski slopes. The developers also jokingly assured fans that no lift tickets will be necessary.

They didn’t reveal many details about what else we could find in this area, so this led to a lot of speculation. It’s possible that we might be able to use the ski lift to gain some verticality in the match, and a few keen players have noted that this location looks familiar.

Upon closer inspection, we can see that this area closely resembles the classic Downhill DLC map from Black Ops 2. At first, it seemed like that map would be making its return in CoD: Mobile season 13.

The developers noticed and immediately addressed this. They clarified that this area is actually from an updated section of the main Battle Royale map.

This winter wonderland will most likely be placed on the North-side of the Battle Royale map. It will reside in the Dormitory point-of-interest, but that can change at any point up to the release of Season 13.

The new update promises to be an exciting one. We’re looking forward to the new POI, along with the various other new additions in the season when it releases on December 21. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about this location.
