Clever Vanguard trick makes getting Atomic camo much easier

Unlocking Vanguard’s Atomic mastery camo is one of the most difficult challenges Call of Duty players can take on. Thankfully, a clever trick makes Diamond camo on melee weapons much easier.

For many Call of Duty players, rocking a mastery camo in multiplayer is the ultimate symbol of excellence. Unlocking these weapons skins requires not only skill, but incredible dedication, and only a select few ever grind long enough to get them.

To get your hands on Vanguard’s incredible Atomic mastery camo, players need to unlock Diamond camo in every weapon class, from Assault Rifles all the way to Melee weapons.

That sounds pretty simple but is actually extremely difficult, especially once you get to melee weapons that force you into short-range combat. Thankfully, if you’re struggling, there is a way to make this part of the challenge a little easier.

Atomic camo in Vanguard

To unlock Diamond camo in Vanguard, you need to first get Gold on the weapons in that class. Usually, that means you need to get it for every weapon in that class. However, this is not technically the case if your weapon class has DLC weapons.

That means if you are grinding, for example, for Diamond in the Melee section, it will ask for two Gold camos, but it doesn’t have to be the melee weapons in the game at launch.

So, if you’re struggling with the Riot Shield like many, you can now forget about it and use the Sawtooth which dropped with Vanguard Season 1.

Of course, this doesn’t mean you can unlock Atomic by completing less challenges overall, but at least you’ll be able to pick and choose which weapons you want to complete.
