Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players believe the CDL Team Pack could introduce a new dark Operator skin similar to the notorious Roze Operator.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players have been gifted with World Cup-themed Operator skins for Messi, Paul Pogba, and Neymar, as well as CDL Operator skins ahead of the competitive CoD league’s start in December.

Not only can players purchase neutral colors with the CDL Launch Pack, but they can also rep their favorite team’s colors with the CDL Team Packs in the Franchise section of the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Stores.

Upon first glance, many would just brush over these skins, as they seem to all be fairly brightly colored, corresponding to the team they are supporting. However, many have noticed that one CDL Operator skin is reminiscent of the notorious Roze skin, which was rumored to return.

LA Thieves‘ CDL Team Pack Home skin features a dominant dark color with a hint of the team’s famous red. The skin is pretty much all black, causing similarities to be drawn with the extremely controversial Roze skin.

Is the MW2 & Warzone 2 LA Thieves Operator the new Roze skin?

Some claim that the sheer darkness of the Operator skin gives player’s a “competitive advantage,” which is exactly why the Roze skin was criticized and so heavily used back in the original Warzone.

Some even claim that this LA Thieves CDL skin is “darker than Roze was in WZ1,” which obviously makes it a hot topic.

We’ll have to wait and see just how disruptive this skin will be compared to the Roze skin from WZ1, as many players will likely be using it considering the community’s reaction.

The infamous Roze skin from Warzone 1 received many changes from the devs through the seasons after its introduction, eventually receiving slight nerfs. Perhaps if this skin is as much of a problem, the devs will make changes to make it brighter and stand out more on Al Mazrah.
