CDL pro Shotzzy’s buffed SMG loadout is perfect Vaznev alternative in MW2 Ranked Play
Following the Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded update, CDL pro Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro has discovered a buffed SMG that can compete with the Vaznev in Ranked Play.
Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 will deliver rank resets and Ranked Play fans will continue to climb up Skill Divisions and earn valuable rewards before the update. To dominate the competitive mode, we recommend using the best Ranked Play loadouts.
Using top-tier weapons like the Vaznev and TAQ-56 levels the playing field. However, every once in a while a weapon will step up and challenge the top options.
The Season 2 Reloaded update brought several weapon buffs and it didn’t take long for OpTic Texas CDL pro Shotzzy to discover the VEL 46’s newfound potential.
Modern Warfare 2’s VEL 46 SMG received a buff to its close damage range in the Season 2 Reloaded update. In addition, its 30 Round Mag attachment had its attributes fixed to improve handling and mobility.
CDL pro player Shotzzy decided to utilize the newly buffed VEL 46 as an alternative to the popular Vaznev and the results were shocking.
Shotzzy’s Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play VEL 46 loadout
- Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
- Stock: Demo RXT Stock
- Rear Grip: Schlager Soldier Grip
- Magazine: 30 Round Mag
Thanks to the 30 Round Mag attachment fix, the VEL 46’s speed and mobility increased drastically. You’ll find that the VEL 46 is easier to tame than the Vaznev. Previously, the VEL’s lackluster mobility held it back from competing with the Vaznev, but the buff has changed that.
The Demo RXT Stock and Schlager Soldier Grip will boost the SMG’s aim down sight speed and sprint to fire speed. Ranked Play SMGs must be lightning-quick to keep up with the competition.
Meanwhile, the Edge-47 Grip will improve the VEL 46’s recoil stabilization and aiming idle steadiness, making medium-range targets easier to take down.
Shotzzy continued to tweak the combination of attachments as he tested out the XRK Sandstorm muzzle as well. We recommend using Shotzzy’s above loadout as a base and making adjustments if necessary as you test the buffed VEL 46 in Ranked Play.
